2017 Donor Advisor Luncheon

Location
Coltivare
235 S Cayuga St
Ithaca, NY 14850

Community Foundation values our donor advisors as unique partners in local philanthropy.

You and a guest are invited to celebrate your gifts and the results made possible because of your generosity.

Hear how community foundations and donor advisors in other communities are having an impact.

Learn more about what is happening here in Tompkins County.

Can this equity funder rally donors and deepen grassroots engagement to further our collective impact?

We will explore avenues to spur civic engagement and harness community activism for change.

Hear from a panel of local change agents, bringing their perspectives and insight:

Ashley Cake, co-owner, The Watershed – as an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, sharing thoughts on the unaffordable cost of living for college grads seeking to stay in Ithaca; similar woes to those employed in Ithaca’s service industry. How can these gaps be closed?  How does our local economy affect our communities?

Diane Cohen, Executive Director, Finger Lakes ReUse –  an independent, charitable non-profit enterprise founded in 2007 to help reduce waste and invest value from used materials back into the community.  Reinvestment into the community in part by training people, bringing opportunity to many through the RESET job training program and partnering with government agencies and local employers.  How do we create a more sustainable, healthy community for all?

Karl Graham, Director of Community Outreach and Development, Alternatives Federal Credit Union (AFCU) – representing a financial institution charged with building wealth and creating economic opportunity for under-served people. Can we address asset building, safety concerns, access to services, employment? How do we achieve measurable results?
