From Tompkins Weekly “25 years of impact: Community Foundation celebrates milestone”

The Community Foundation of Tompkins County celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. On Wednesday, May 14, the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce will host a special Business After Hours event at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC), celebrating a quarter-century of trust-based philanthropy, community partnerships and over $32 million in grant-making that has helped shape a more equitable and inclusive Tompkins County.
The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and there will be light refreshments and door prizes, as well as special prizes from the Community Foundation, including one $250 grant certificate and one $100 grant certificate. Winners will consult with Community Foundation staff to choose which mission-driven organization serving Tompkins County they would like their grant certificate awarded to.
