2025 Holiday Hours, Deadlines: Grant Nominations, QCD, Cash, Credit Card, and Stock Gifts

Community Foundation Office Hours Mondays-Thursdays from 9am-5pm. The office is closed on Fridays. The best way to reach staff is by email. We strive to respond to your emails within 24 hours of the next business day during a M-TH week. Thank you for your understanding.
2025 Holiday Hours (our office location is fully staffed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, other days virtually or by pre-arranged appointment with a specific staff member, with the following exceptions):

Monday, December 1 through Monday, December 22, Open Regular Hours Mondays through Thursdays, Closed Fridays
Tuesday, December 23 through Thursday, December 25 Closed
Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30, Wednesday, December 31, Opened Limited Hours 10AM – 2PM
2026 Holiday Virtual Hours (our office location is usually fully staffed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, other days virtually or by pre-arranged appointment with a specific staff member, with the following exceptions):

The deadline for 2025 Donor Advisor Grant Nominations, is Monday, December 8, 2025. After that date we can continue to take nominations but they will be processed in early 2026. If this presents a major issue or concern for you, please contact either Amy LeViere at aleviere@cftompkins.org or George Ferrari at gferrari@cftompkins.org during our availability as listed above and we will do our best for you to seek ways to achieve your granting goals. Gift Deadlines
Gifts delivered by US Mail must be postmarked by December 31, 2025 in order to receive a 2025 gift date. Hand delivered gifts must be received in person in our office by 12 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in order to receive a 2025 gift date.
Gifts made by credit card made HERE online must be confirmed by our credit card processor as having been made by 11:59PM December 31, 2025 in order to receive a 2025 gift date. We kindly suggest that donors who wish to make a credit card make their gift well before December 31, 2025 if at all possible.
For Gifts of Stock or IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) we kindly ask that you be certain that the transfer process has begun no later than Friday, December 12, 2025 to ensure that the gift can be treated as qualified for 2025. You can still make a gift of stock after this date but we cannot guarantee that we will receive it in time for it to be considered a 2025 gift. Receiving such gifts is dependent on the processing speed of your brokerage firm. The IRS does NOT allow IRA Charitable distributions to donor advised funds.
