Let’s Talk: Community Based Alternatives to Jail with Ithaca LEAD

Location
ONLINE

On May 14th, we’re thrilled to observe National Police Week, a time to honor the brave men and women who serve and protect our community with unwavering dedication.

We’re excited to announce a special invitation to the Ithaca Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Program. Join us as we welcome representatives from the LEAD Program to share their insights and experiences, highlighting the invaluable work they do to foster trust, support, and positive outcomes within our community. We will be joined by Travis Brooks, Mary Orsaio, and Anna Vergari.

The Ithaca LEAD Program is not just about enforcement; it’s about humanity, compassion, understanding, and providing individuals with the resources they need to thrive. By diverting low-level offenders away from the criminal justice system and connecting them with community-based services, LEAD aims to break the cycle of incarceration and address the root causes of crime.

This National Police Week, let’s come together to recognize the efforts of our law enforcement partners and learn more about innovative initiatives like the Ithaca LEAD Program that are shaping a brighter, safer future for all. 🌟
