Community Organizational Needs Assessment Now Available
At the Community Foundation of Tompkins County, we know that our capacity to effect change, lasting and transformational change, only comes through strengthening the capacity of our nonprofit partners. With that in mind, we are asking for your participation in a 15-minute organizational needs assessment to help us identify your organization’s most common challenges and opportunities for growth.
As we explore new, innovative approaches to catalyze growth in our nonprofit community, we would like to make your voice a material part of the conversation. Specifically, we are hoping to hear from our nonprofit leaders who feel their capacity to deliver impact is being challenged by a lack of time, staffing, and/or resources. We are hoping to elevate the voices of area nonprofit leaders to inform our grantmaking strategies. As such, we’re in the process of gathering feedback to accomplish the following:
-Assess the current state of nonprofit sustainability in our community
-Understand the scope of capacity-building needs and requests; and
-Use the results to inform potential technical assistance opportunities for our mission-aligned organizations
Our goal is to go beyond the check and ask questions about how we can help build capacity for next year. This helps to foster a deeper sense of connection to our grantees and their work. We value your input and want to make sure you receive the invitation to participate. As a thank you for your participation, you’ll receive a toolkit containing 200+ unique fundraising templates that you can leverage within your fundraising efforts this year. Also, please note – any challenges expressed in your responses WILL NOT influence existing or future grant commitments.
